Bruce,

On the printing side, static has consistently been an issue during the
cold months, when the heating system sucks humidity out of the air.
The cause of your problem my be related to the copy device sucking the
moisture directly from the sheet.

We have had excellent success eliminating static-related issues by
placing humidifiers throughout the shop during the winter months. If
you purchase a couple of small humidifiers and place them near the
air intake of the folder, your problem may be lessened. If, for a few
hours, you place them in a small room together with the job, your
problem may disappear.

Best of luck.

Peter

Subject: [PrintShare] Folding Copied Sheets (Static Problem)

*** This is a PrintShare List Message ***

Hi,
I am having a lot of trouble folding paper that has been copied. Lots
and lots of static.

I am copying on a Xerox 4110 copier.
Folding on a Baumfolder 20 x 26 (old floor model).

I purchased an Ionix Static Eliminator. This did not seem to help.

Has anyone solved this one?

Thanks for your help.
