From bob at bergey.net Sun Oct 16 17:30:12 2005 From: bob at bergey.net (Bob Bergey) Date: Sun Oct 16 17:30:20 2005 Subject: [PrintSales] PrintSales List Moved to New Server Message-ID: The PrintSales discussion list has been moved to a new list server effective immediately! The posting address and basic operation of the list haven't changed, however there are a number of enhancements. This list has not been very active for the past year, so maybe this will also give it a fresh boost! Besides messages being turned around more quickly and reliably than ever, you can manage your subscription options easier than ever before. You should have received a Welcome message a few minutes ago with links and a password to manage your subscription. The list is now being archived from this point forward; the link to the new archives is in the headers of each message, as well as your individual management page. Archives are available only to subscribers. You'll need the password in your welcome message to access them (save that welcome message -- but you'll also get a reminder once a month just in case). HTML-formatted posts will now be stripped of their HTML attachments and plain text forwarded to the list, rather than messages being bounced back to the sender. That will make it easier for those of you who forget or have difficulty posting in plain text -- especially AOL subscribers. If you're receiving multiple copies of list messages, you may have had multiple addresses subscribed before with one or more inactive subscriptions. You'll need to adjust your subscriptions under each email address to either unsubscribe them or disable mail delivery on the ones you don't want to be active. Let me know if you need help. If you prefer the digest mode instead of individual messages, set that preference also on your list management page. Digests are now set to go out at least once a day, more often when the list is active. Subscribing and unsubscribing work a little differently than before; you can do so on the Web using the link in the message footer, or the appropriate links in message headers. You can reach me at either bob@bergey.net or printsales-owner@printweb.org if you have any questions or problems.
