[PrintOwners] re: Canon 7095 copier leasing contract - opportunity/problem

I sent these tips directly to Curtis already, and will put them below, but I
have a Canon 7105 and am also very happy with the halftones. I assume we're
talking prints here, not off the glass, where I imagine no ones look great.
I'd be highly curious to see what other Canon owners think, because I think
our halftones look fantastic. This didn't occur to me earlier, but Curtis,
if your friend wants to email me a file, I'd be happy to put it out and mail
it to them. That way they could see if there's was at least printing as
well as it could be. Here are the tips I sent Clint again.:

1. This is one is super simple, and seemingly obvious, but make sure you're
printing 1200 dpi. The default is 600, (its under the "Image Quality"
heading) and you have to change it in the print settings each time you print
a document. I almost didn't get the machine because I was disappointed with
the copy quality as well. I discovered the setting in the showroom, and
neither the sales person or the tech demonstrating had any idea it was
there. There's also a half-tone setting here you can play with.

2. There are two PC drivers for this machine. The PS (postscript) and PCL.
The postscript is the default on they install for you. Its faster, and the
default for production environments. The PCL, however, produces FAR better
halftones and screens. Have your friend tell the techs to install this
driver and try printing to it. The options are much simpler, as its
designed for an office environment. This made a huge difference for us, far
more than the first option here.
