[PrintOwners] [OFF] gettin' political...

I believe the term is Iranian-American, but I'm a second generation
immigrant. So my parents were born in Iran, and like many, fled after the
Islamic Revolution in 1979. I was subsequently born in Alabama. So you can
decide if I'm American or Iranian.

Affirmative action aside, schools strive for diversity, it makes them look
good (even though affirmative action was in effect when I did go to school).
This is a different issue from the 8 (a) disadvantaged minority business.
Its the same as any other minority (black, latino, etc.) who may have lived
here for generations, but quality for that status. The government has to
give something like 30% off all contracts to 8(a) businesses, and all other
government contractors have to sub-contract out 35% off all the contracts
they get to 8(a) businesses. Women owned business see similar benefits.
These monies are set aside from these businesses. I don't think Kennedy
would be upset with me getting some of that business, if I'm able to.
