Tom,
We have had this machine for about 16 months now and it has
worked well for us:

It is not cheap but we do a fair amount of binding with extremely
tight deadlines so we have to keep it in-house to keep the clients.
It takes care of the punching part but we are now just starting to look
at a more efficient inserting method so we are looking at this
equipment below. I would love to hear any feedback from
anyone that has this or considered it, pro & con.

Subject: [PrintOwners] Coil Binding - Equipment Suggestions?
***** This is a PrintOwners List Message *****
Plastic coil binding is driving us crazy - extraordinarily labor intensive
and time consuming. We seem to be getting more of it and it's a real time
killer - just finished a job for 1,100 coil bound books which seemed to take
forever to do. We have the tabletop units - one machine to punch the holes
(really thin lifts only) and another to spin the coil into the finished
book. Then cut and twist the ends of the coils by hand with that little
pliers tool.
What kind of equipment do you all use for this? Is there anything faster out
there without spending a fortune?
