These recycling figures are a joke. We have a 5 yard dumpster in back for
cardboard. It gets emptied once a week, whether it is full or empty. At the
end of the year, we get a form from our trash hauler certifying that we
recycled 260 cubic yards of cardboard. 5 X 52 weeks. They also send this
information to the county which in turn reports to the state so that the
entire state can smugly show these inflated numbers. The Feds then take
those numbers and compile even better statistics.

I have no idea how much we actually recycle, but it's nowhere near 260
yards.
