Anyone come up with a solution for laminating and then flush cutting (on a
full bleed) digital copys? We’ve struggeled for years with our Xerox and now
our KM6500 with this....we do a lot of short run event passes for one
customer that he needs to laminate. They are full bleed and flush cut. We've
called all the local laminators and most have a high Min and offer a
"Digital"
laminate.....but the min is too high....our local small shop only charges a
$30 min but claims the digital laminate (high tack) really doesn't make a
difference. It all looks great until we cut across the image and then we get
separation on the edges....it's fine if we have a unprinted border....but
this customer needs them to bleed......
On a separate note....anyone doing UV coating on their KM6500? We have had
issues with that also....with it picking or scratching off on any black
solids.....short of buying our own machine, which is a possibility...anyone
else encountered this?
