If you don't have a proofer that came with the package, I recommend  
buying Cyndy's. It's invaluable. When we had a Ripit, we ran composed  
proofs and then ran selected separated proofs -- usually only 1 color  
per page -- to make sure it separated correctly. For instance,  
composed proofs don't tell you if your PMS separated as CMYK.
