Eugene, I know a 5000 is a lot but put the numbers to it and see what
happens. It is suppose to be so much faster than anything else at that
range. You guys are building quite a color business there. I have a friend
here who replaced his 2045 with the 5000 and it is really cooking for them.
The speed has been amazing to them. I know Konica is out for you so I am
just not sure what there is to replace that machine. Are you ready for an
IGEN. :-)

Subject: [PrintOwners] Replacing a new Xerox machine when out of
production??

***** This is a PrintOwners List Message *****

We are in the process of having Xerox replace a rather large 5252 (new).
The service dept. has determined there are some structural issues
they can not resolve in the field and has requested a replacement.

Our dilemma is that they no longer make the 5252, so I was wondering
if anyone else has had a similar experience since neither the 5252 or
6060 are still in production and we took delivery of a NEW, not
rebuilt machine.

Obviously I would have no problem if they replace with a 5000, but
highly unlikely!

Any input?

Thanks
